Life of James Mursell Phillippo

Edward Bean Underhill (1813¿1901), secretary to the Baptist Missionary Society, published this biography of his friend James Mursell Phillippo in 1881. Based on Phillippo's own diaries and manuscript autobiography, it describes his fifty years as a missionary in Jamaica and his role in the campaign to abolish slavery.
